Enochian Chess — Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026 · iOS app

This policy describes how the Enochian Chess app (“the App”) handles information. The App is a four-handed chess game with an optional divination mode, played on your own device or, optionally, with others over Apple Game Center.

Summary: The App does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to servers we operate. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. Games and any questions you type in divination mode stay on your device. Optional online multiplayer is handled entirely by Apple Game Center under Apple’s own privacy policy. Questions? Email arkenmap@gmail.com.

1. Information we collect

None that we receive. The App has no sign-up, no user profiles, and no backend operated by us. Game progress for local play, settings, and the questions you enter in divination mode are processed on your device and are not sent to us.

2. Online multiplayer (Apple Game Center)

If you choose to play online, the App uses Apple Game Center to match you with other players and to pass the game state (the positions of the pieces) between participants for your turn-based match. This is provided by Apple: your Game Center identity and any data Apple processes are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Opponents in a match may see your Game Center nickname. We do not receive or store this information ourselves. Online play is entirely optional — local pass-and-play and single-device games use no network features.

3. Third parties

Apple provides iOS, Game Center, and related system services under Apple’s policies. The App includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. If any such service is ever added in a future release, this page will be updated and the App Store privacy disclosures will reflect it before that data is collected.

4. Children

The App is a board game and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Online play requires Apple Game Center, which has its own age and parental-control settings managed through your Apple account.

5. Data security & retention

Because data stays on your device, you control it: deleting the App removes its local data. You are responsible for keeping your device and Apple ID secure. Refer to Apple’s documentation for device backups and recovery.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
